We've been picked...

to be a Nielsen family! My DH, a true TV-loving couch potato (when he has time), is thrilled. Has anyone here done this? I don't know anyone who has, so I don't know that much about it. I'm going to call this morning to find out some more information (like how much effort on our parts this is going to require), but there's some (small) monetary compensation that might entice me. Hey, if someone's going to pay me to sit on my a$$ and watch TV, well ... I'm not gonna argue!

I did it for radio once, it was kinda cool, but a huge pain to write down whenever I switched radio stations in the car!

Too Cool! How did you end up getting picked? Did you have to apply?

We were actually picked for that last summer. The unfortunate part about that, we had to move twice in three months. We returned the information. It would have been nice to think that I was part the "They" crowd- as in "they say...."

We were also slected for some similar thing with our groceries.(as we eat a ton and more daily....) but we gave that up too. They gave us a scanner, then we had to scan every item that we purchased from the grocery store and upload it to the computer. Too much work for me!!

Totally cool!! Keep us posted on how it's going. I always wondered how that worked.
