  • I have an "impossibly perky shag"! And I love it!

I got my hair cut and *cough* colored today and I LOVE it. DH can tell you how rare that is (and how unlikely for it to be the 1st stylist / salon I try in KC). I found the style in Allure magazine, it was on Meg Ryan (I do bear an uncanny resemblance ) and captioned "the impossibly perky shag". I think it goes along w/the new, positive Jenn. I found the salon / stylist by walking up to a complete stranger with fabulous hair on the Plaza and asking where she got her hair done.

Also, dh found out this week that all 3 of the abstracts he submitted to the AABB were accepted as posters for the national conference! These are the 1st that he's been the main author on - so he's really thrilled.

Things are looking up (knock on wood) i can only be so positive - baby steps . Now if we could just get a paycheck ....

Yeah you! I'm so glad things are looking up. If you can get a great haircut, everything seems a little brighter. Congrats to your hubby to on the posters. When does the paycheck arrive?

Amazing what a good haircut can do for your affect! And congrats to dh on the abstracts!
BTW, where did you go to get your hair done? I haven't really been able to make a commitment to one stylist in the 10+ years that I have lived here.

I think that is among the best ways to find one!

        Enjoy your new haircut.

            Love the shag...

I had the worst time trying to find someone in Texas who knew how to cut short hair. Finally, I asked all of my friends of the alternative lifestyle...now those girls had awesome short hair!

Which Allure issue anyway? I flipped through the latest at the newstand to get a visual and couldn't locate Meg Ryan.

It's the August '05 issue with Scarlett Johansson on the cover. I'm (I mean Meg) is on page 103 (don't confuse me with Jennifer Aniston. I look a lot like her, too).

So true how good a good cut/color can make you feel. The last time I went and confessed to DH how much it cost (I hyperventilated momentarily when the lady gave me my total!), he didn't miss a beat and said "You know what, you deserve it." He got snaps for that comment, that's for sure!!!
