It is so HOT outside it is tough to breathe. I mean it is so hot that DD turns into a little lobster within about 2 minutes of being out there. I went outside just now for ten minutes and I am soaked in sweat and covered in mosquito bites. It is HOT!!!!

It's beastly here today, too. We're on Day Two of the Heat Warning. and of course, today the pres decides to show up on Capitol Hill so my Stroller Strides Class was diverted. It required extra street-crossings etc. I was so annoyed. The Capitol Police were very apologetic. I guess they didn't want to find out what 7 tired, angry, sweaty women with crying babies could do.
The motorcades are impressive to watch though. Although I wonder if sometimes they don't just want to get out and grab a burger along the way. (well, I guess Bill did. The only Bushes who go out here are the twins. andMiss Jenna is quite the party girl in Georgetown...)

An absolutely beautiful day here, too.....we even have our windows open! (Such a happy thing for me since all of the windows in our last house had been painted shut for many years and I couldn't open any of them.)
I took the kids out today for an "adventure"......we drove over to where I went to college (in Indianapolis) and then to some of my other old stomping grounds.....favorite shopping areas, places I worked, etc. We had a great time and I found a great park that we stopped and played at. It is 74 right now, and when the wind blows, it is almost chilly!

Its wonderful here as well. Temps in the 70's, low humidity...If I could pick the weather this would be it. I took DD to the zoo, it would have been a crime to stay in on a day like today.
I know we'll be back into the humid 90's before long, so I'll try to squeeze in as much outdoor time as I can.

I wish I were there with you in the nice weather cuz it's MISERABLE here and has been for over 2 weeks now.
100+ degrees and high pollution warnings about the ozone every single day. Don't go outside, don't exercise outside, don't let your kids play outside cuz the ozone will burn your lungs. Lovely, eh?
Everyone here literally can't breath.
I want to move to Hawaii where the air is clean and healthy!

Laura,
No, it was a park up in Carmel.....West Park or something like that. Not too far from where Jennifer lives if I remember correctly. I was showing the kids where I used to nanny and just driving around, when there it was. They LOVED it. Holliday Park sounds hauntingly familiar, but I can't quite place it in my mind. On a day like today, there was no way I was going to stay inside! PM me directions sometime.....maybe we could meet there!

Oh boy, it's back with a vengence! 90+ expected every day through the weekend. We just got back from our walk and it was brutal. I had to stop 4 times to give the dog water and make sure Nikolai had a full sippy cup.
Bad air, no breeze- this is why everyone leaves DC in August.
