  • Going to Boston, MA

So Matt got his anesthesia oral board testing city assignment. We are almost done with the process. He will be testing in Boston in April. Matt is really happy that he got the earlier testing site, because if he passes he will receive an additional 5% raise to the 10% automatic raise he gets after his one year anniversary date with the group.

He has picked up the studying- I keep finding anesthesia CDs in the minivan, he is asking me to pimp him from his oral review books and wants to invest in more oral review stuff. Apparently the oral boards are brutal. We've heard some stories.

Good news that he got his first choice. Nice to get it over with sooner and a increase in pay is good motivation, too. Yeah!

Oral boards are brutal! DH just took his Gen Surg orals and thought FOR SURE he failed. He's never even thought he did poorly before -- and hasen't amazingly enough. (Please God, can our kids have his test taking ability?)

Well he passed, and it's over.

I think studying like a dog before hand helps with confidance. It can be VERY intimidating.

      GOOD LUCK!!!!

That's good news! Oral boards....yuck! At least your husband is getting a head start with studying. Mine didn't crack open a book until about 3 days before his Orals.
