  • Once again on the rude thing-

So, I just spoke with our property managment company- to tell them about the roofers putting a hole in my bedroom ceiling (long story) and she started accusing ME of violating electrical code. (they somehow punched an electrical plate/box through the ceiling) I was like, "wait a minute here, I didn't even know the plate was there- I didn't install it, I didn't paint over it."

Then I told her that the fabulous roofers dumped tarry water all over the ivy in my back yard AND the tar is going all over everyone's backyard furniture.

and then when I said, "well, I'm sure I'll get top dollar for the house NOW that it's covered in grey sludge." and she said, "oh, now that's just silly." Really? Ya think people WANT to have a backyard covered in black tar spots and grey sludge?

    Arseholes.

Did I miss this story, Jenn? Sounds like a good one. Tar is horrible. Are they coming to remove it? Or try? They owe you big time. We had tar spattered on our car by a road crew and it took some serious cleaner to remove it. The little spatters were everywhere.

I have no idea what they're going to do- we also have tar specks on our vehicles (the entire neighborhood does) and on the outdoor furniture. I'm sure that the mgmt woman is just p.o.ed at the roofing company but hey- I didn't hire them, and I'm the one who has to shell out 14,000 for this fabulousness over the next 10 years. (or pay it upfront when we sell)

        yay!
