  • Ode to coffee

As I'm pouring my 2nd cup of the morning (technically my 3rd and 4th based on the size of my mug) I had to stop myself from saying "Man, I love coffee."

It's smooth, almost chocolaty flavor and the comforting scent ....

What is your morning ritual that you can't live without?

Calories. With coffee, of course. If there are carbs in the house, they are going down at breakfast. Particularly scones. Or bagels. Or muffins. Yummmmmmmm. (Unfortunately, today was toast with PB.)

I love getting up early before the kids, showering, attempt to put myself together, then pour mysef a cup of coffee with a little French Vanilla sweetner in it and sit on the computer for 20 minutes before DS protests!

I LOVE this ritual. When it gets upset, I have to "talk myself through" why getting annoyed is just not productive!!!!!

Chocolate. Once I have my bite (or two) of chocolate in the morning, all is right with the world!

Man, I got it bad. Let's just say that if coffee is any indication, I'm soooo glad I never got into smoking, drugs, or some other random and perhaps tawdry addiction.

                  AMEN, CAN I HEAR AMEN....

Oh boy, I should have added coffee to the "there is always money for" posts awhile back. Except that I can't imagine life without- so I'll go without food first.

Love everything about it- taste, smell, the ritual- amazing stuff.

We had a brand in Texas that was our all time favorite- a local roaster out of Austin. We were crushed when they stopped making that brand anymore.

Yep, coffee it is! I'm trying to cut back, so I limit myself to 2 cups a day . I drink my coffee whiter than I am, with lots of cream and sugar. And my new little addiction is going for coffee at yummy little coffee shops, and indulging in a tasty treat like a muffin or coffee cake as well.
