Nothing specific, but my friend Betsy lives in Herford, about an hour or so NE of Greenville. Actually, they drive there all the time for East Carolina games. People are rabid about East Carolina football lol. She lived n Greenville while in school and really liked it, and delivered her son at the hspt there.

A friend from our last location (TX) just moved to Greenville with her husband and four kids. She is very, very impressed with the area from a family point of view. She has never lived outside of TX until now, so I was expecting her to have a much rougher transition, but she absolutely loves it.

There are several places that serve adults and children with developmental disabilities- I did a couple surveys there in 2003. Not exactly thinkers outside of boxes, in terms of opportunities for people to learn and do. (you know, the big van of people with dissabilities, who all live together and all work together at some crappy job assembling stuff that the staff take apart later (way to build up the job satisfaction, watch someone undo the stuff you did all morning...) Might as well have a big neon sign that says "We're a group of retarded people, so keep us all together, so that we stand out more than we already would".

Other than THAT (not that I'm opinonated) it seemed like a nice to live.

I don't know too much about Greenville, but I have been there a couple times. It is adjacent to another city, Spartanburg. It seems to be a failry nice small city. It's about an hour and a hlaf to Columbia or Charlotte.

It's a farily small city, and I don't know that it is very close to any bigger cities.

That's about all I know. Not much help, I realize. Sorry!

My DH ranked Greenvile, NC very high when he was matching OB. If you happen to interview there as well, LMK and I can tellyou about it.
