I am in the middle of having a front lower false tooth replaced. I thought they were going to to take the old one out and put the new one right in, but instead I have to wear a retainer with a tooth on it for 6 weeks. I cant eat with it in and it makes me gag so I have it out most of the time. We went to the movies last night and I forgot it and had to go toothless 
So this AM I had it in my pocket and bent down and felt a snap. Pop! The retainer broke in half! I emailed the student dentist that I see and she emailed me back and said she is booked for the semester and will probably not be able to see me again til January. She is really nice and has been great but I am less than pleased at being toothless until January! In fairness, I can wear the half of the retainer that has the tooth in it, so it is really not too urgent but I would prefer not to have to wait for a month!
