Nobody is allowed to shop until they get to NY. We can hit all my favorite stores together (just in case I don't make it to Ohio).

It sounds like we should do a weekend, so the out-of-towners can make it.

Unfortunately that weekend does not work for me DH and I are going to try leave the city for fresher air. Any other dates work for people?

Fluffhead that is great, how long have we been trying to get a northeast gathering? Does 5 years sound right?

Shock! I mentioned the possible NY gathering. Dh said he would request a weekend off so that he can watch the kids while I go.

In the 3 years of ds1’s life dh has never been caretaker for more than a couple of hours. Wow. This would be good for me and for him.

That said, we can’t do Jan. Feb could work.

Um…the idea of leaving him alone with the kids actually makes me a tiny bit nervous. I have an ounce of control freak in me.

I hope this doesn't die out. What kinds of things would people like to do? I can host something at our apartment to start the day/night off.

Ok, here's what we have so far in terms of dates:

1)Jan 28-29th
2)Jan 21-22nd
3)Feb 4-5th

If the out-of-towners have other suggestions, please post them. Since there seems to be a lot of interest from the neighboring states, we should probably meet up around brunch and go from there. As for activities, we can go shopping, see a movie or a matinee, check out museums/galleries, go for massages/mani/pedi. Depending on how many will be taking the train, it might be easier to meet in midtown but would also depend on what we'll be doing later in the day.
