  • this NEVER would have happened.....

Today I got a call from the nurse at my kids' school saying that my oldest had an upset stomach and was looking pale, and probably should go home. I was in the middle of a KinderMusik class with my youngest, and REALLY didn't want to leave....but figured I would probably have to. Just for kicks I called DH (the hospital and his office are about two miles from the school....closer than our house is) and told him the situation. He was able to run out and pick up DS from school and take him home, where I met them, AFTER Kindermusik!

After getting home, DS started throwing up and having dry heaves.....he is sicker than I have ever seen him, poor guy. Normally, I would have left him here to run out and get DS #2 from school, but I just didn't feel comfortable doing that....and DH was able to come to the rescue again! He picked up DS #2 from school and took him back to the office to do homework until DH was able to come home.

I can't tell you how nice it has been to have the benefit of two parents today! This has never happened before due to work restraints of both residency and the military. So I guess I am posting to say that life does get better! (Although it seems strange to feel so positive about something when Luke is so sick..... )

Amazing and so cool! Reminds me of the research years...*sigh*

I hope Luke gets better soon and that no one else in the family gets sick.

Poor kid, it's so hard to see them sick like that! That's great that your dh was able to come through for you like that, and I'll bet he really felt good being able to come to your rescue.
