  • My first ebay 'bargain'

I actually won my first real bargain yesterday! I've been bidding on Lundby dollhouses at ebay.....Amanda's dollhouse is slowly falling apart...how can the Mathew family continue living in a house w/o a roof, etc?

So....I followed a ton of bidding...and the houses always ended up over $100 which...is the price for one of these dollhouses NEW. Last night, I discovered a house WITH the transformer and some furniture but that had a couple of problems: shower head broken and dolls missing/broken.

BUT..we have a lundby shower already and she doesn't need the dolls. I bid on it and won it with the transformer (the house lights up completely with plugs in the walls of each room), working fireplace etc...for $40.00!!!!!

I'm so excited. Of course...I just bought her a VideoNow for Christmas so now I'm not sure when/how to give this to her.

I finally got a bargain....I wonder if there's a catch? The pics look good...and the seller has a 99.9% rating....

Congrats!! I have yet to get a good deal from Ebay. Someone always seems to want to outbid me. The one item I ever got from Ebay took 2 months to get to me. It was a Rainbow Bright doll (I was far too old for it but had to have it).
It sounds like your seller has an excellent rate of approval though.

Love, love, love ebay. I used to be able to list all of the stuff I've bought and sold on ebay but I leave it that my kid would be naked and without shoes (got a pair of Stride Rite boots for....5 bucks), I'd still own an ugly diamond tennis bracelet from my first husband (lord, I hated that thing), and my parents would still have two sets of stainless. I sold so much stuff this summer for them. They gave me a percentage which also didn't suck.

Our wedding bands came from a jeweler on ebay. In fact if you do a search for "platinum gold braid band" you'll pull it up.

You can buy Pottery Barn light fixtures for less than that! Maybe I need to start selling dollhouse fixtures....

I have had a few e-Bay bargains but usually need someone to put it right in front of my eyes to find it. I bought both girls xmas dresses from eBay and got a good deal (I think) on Ralph Lauren and Gap dresses. It was interesting to see how much the bids varied for one of the dresses (multiple auctions).
