I think it Jan 2 is the day that Jan 1 is observed since it fell on a weekend? The stock market is closed and I think banks might be too.

No postal service on Dec 26, either.

It took a while on 12/26 for me to figure it out.

Is it me, or does it just seem like we have more and more holidays?

Our kids are off of school today....they are also off every other monday in January..except for 1...for various little holidays and then Teacher Inservice days.....When I look at our school calendar it appear that they have more vacation days every year.

Around here, MLK day is anything but a "various little holiday."

I can't wait for school to start tomorrow (though I bet it'll be closed for snow)

I'm still trying to wrap my mine around how VA combined Lee, Jackson and King days into one.
