  • No wonder girls have low self-esteem!

If you have tween and teenage girls, this is a great page to show them. Models and celebs are not perfect at all!

Wow - I had no idea all of the detail that went into those things - that is almost disgusting to think about what people will do to sell a body image!!

Jamie Leigh Curtis did a before and after shot for More magazine a few years back- and it was amazing. She actually has a roll over her mom panties! It was like, "WOW, you REALLY are more person than movie star!"

It was a great article. One thing about this, though, is they even did it to a young, skinny girl with already perky boobs! I think it's a great thing to show young girls. The Jamie Lee Curtis thing was great to show women of all ages that hollywood stars actually do AGE.

I became a much bigger fan of Jamie Lee Curtis after that, she seemed so much more real to me.

Outrageous....It just really bothers me the kind of picture we're sending to our little girls.

On a side note though, apparently, all I need to do is carry around a little shadow for my behind to make it look smaller. :>

Great link! Thanks for sharing, Leyla. I saw that picture of Jamie Lee Curtis as well. I think she has it on the back of one of her children's books that is about self-esteem. I didn't really like her before, but I have a much greater respect for her now.

I never knew retouching went to that extent!
