  • the silliest "great" feelings

#1.) When you come home after the cleaning lady "works her magic." It's WAY better than any drug -- I estimate. (not that I would know being one of the squarest people on the planet in this area )

#2.) When your 17 month old wakes up from a nap 30 minutes into it screaming, only to put himself back to sleep in 5 minutes and then continues to sleep for two more hours.

#3.) Opening the fridge and realizing that there is "take out" left over for your lunch. Yum.

Yes, that is a "Hallelujah Chorus" moment! I always feel like I just came home from a massage when the cleaning people leave. You cannot buy your happiness but you CAN buy your sanity (and, provide employment for other people along the way)....

Yes, sanity does have a price. Sometimes it is steep but always worth it.

I feel like I need a cleaning lady and I don't even have kids.

When I receive good mail, it makes for a great day.

Wow Flynn, those are some good ones. So is the good mail one!

What about when you don't have any quarters for a quarter-only parking meter (thinking that you'll only be gone a minute or two anyway), park, go up to the meter and see that someone has left you 40 minutes? In Chicago where 25 cents only gets you 7 minutes, it's pure elation!
