Dh is on his way with our ds (3) to Vermont to pick up all the left over crap we have been storing at my moms house for about 3 yrs now. He decided to take the Palasades Parkway thru NY.
He is renting an Enterprise cargo van. Anyhow, a state cop pulled him over, yelled at him thru the mega phone to get off the Palasades....NO ADVERTISING ALLOWED. The van says "Enterprise Rent a Van" on the side. Ugg!
Dh was about crapping himself. He was on his cell, a big :nono: in NY and he has an outstanding ticket from about 8yrs ago. They do not mess around in NY.
Away he would go......Im so thankfull the cop never got out of his car....and that dh was not speeding!!!
On a side note, do you all know how perfectly peaceful it is here without just one extra kiddo around. No arguing, yelling....the girls are happy, they napped...even (gasp) the cats are out of hiding...hmmm....maybe having ds gone, they feel safer??

hijack: it's also how i discovered that the tappan zee bridge toll is more $ for trucks than cars. that was an embarassing lesson... pretty typical college kid, i didn't have much cash on hand - only the exact amount i would have needed if i were in a car
