  • Ice Skating Lessons

My boys are taking ice skating lessons, so I signed up, too. Neither dh or I can skate, and I've only been on ice skates one other time in my life ...

tonight was my first lesson - my feet are KILLING me - but I'm pretty proud of myself. there were all sorts of screw-ups (the paperwork had the wrong time, I walked in 2/3rds of the way through the beginner class and ended up having to participate while the advanced adult class did their thing) but I stayed. these are the kinds of things that would have made me throw in the towel before (not much of a roll-with-the-punches girl) ... but I stayed and I'm proud.

    And my feet HURT.

That is fantastic! What an awesome sense of accomplishment you must feel. It sound like lots of fun...except for the feet thing. But that sounds like a good excuse to sit and soak your feet for a while

            I'm impressed! Keep at it!

Those skates do hurt. My son gets blisters everytime we go.

Thanks all! I'm going to keep going ... and try a bigger size of skates next time.

Fun! I've never been ice skating, but would love to try it if I ever get up enough courage.

That's awesome! I was taking ballet for awhile with Amanda and I can't wait to get back into doing it again next year! It's a really neat bonding thing that you'll have with your boys AND you'll learn how to ice skate!
