Anyone watch it? I love it - I guess I live vicariously through their travel.

Anyway ... the Lake / Michelle team is v. annoying. Lake was irritated at the behavior of the wife on another team and said "She's a doctor's wife. She shouldn't be talking like that." She had just asked them to step back - didn't swear at them or anything. Meanwhile, he's cursing up a storm, mad at his wife / partner, blaming stuff on her, but saying "I'm the leader of this team."

No big emotional favorites this season. I'd like the Eric / Jeremy team except that they spend all their down time hitting on the cute girls.

Wow. I hope someone else likes the show, b/c right now I seem overly invested in it.

What show are you talking about?

Just kidding. Totally addicted. Lake/Michelle annoy me too but I was totally impressed by his motorcycle assembly skills. Ditto for Ray/Yolanda. That was a hard task. Danielle/Dani and Eric/Jeremy annoy me too. Get a room. Blech.

BJ/Tyler crack me up. And I like Dave/Lori. Hats off to Fran and Barry, I don't know how they manage to stay in but they do.

btw, I had to look at the website for some of the team names. I don't have them memorized, I swear!

You are not alone. I sometimes feel that I too live vicariously through some of these realtiy shows. I personally am rooting for the young dating somewhat geeky couple. I like the older couple a lot. I hadn't realized it until the comment last night that he was a doctor........and also thought that was an interesting (in a bad way) part. I also like the hippies---though they are somewhat annoying, too. Lake and Whatshername are troubling and I keep wishing that they come and last and get eliminated. He is quite verbally abusive and dominating with her-----his behavior and their dynamics are disturbing----but not uncommon-----and this show always seems to have one couple to fill that role of antagonistic/degrading interactions.

I think the young couple is Dave and Lori. I like them too. I felt bad for her having such a hard time with the statue.

Fran and Barry are the older couple. That comment was wierd -- about how a doctor's wife should talk. What?

Love AR! I've been watching since season 1! I keep telling DH that we should apply. However, there's no way he'd be able to take that much time off. Not to mention, I've been having children since season 1. I'm pretty sure they won't accept a pregnant lady.

I like the hippies. They seem to be having a lot of fun.

I totally agree about Lake and Michelle .. and she plays into it, too. "We're not going to make anymore mistakes because I've got the best partner!" ::

The hippies are amusing, but take it too far. I like Ray and Yolanda - they seem to be supportive and work well together, and the nerds - but I don't think they'll last. The tasks are often so physical - and they were wiped out by a 1 mile hike (uphill, granted).

I'm so excited to have other devotees!

I'm a reality TV junkie - well, let's be real here, I'm just a TV junkie.

I just watched my Tivo's Amazing Race! I am a big fan of Dave and Lori - the nerd couple. I mean aren't most of us nerds or married to nerds? Lake and Michelle aren't the worst couple ever to be on the show, but they are antagonistic, and he degrades her. They always have one couple like this, and she every bit plays the passive role and lets him get away with it - even adores him for it. Bleck!

I like the hippies. They are a bit over the top at times, but I like them. I like Fran and Barry.

I'm glad the pinks are gone, but it was only a matter of time. Eric and Jeremy are annoying. I'm amazed they can do anything else at all with their constant thoughts of women and hooking up.

I finally watched it last night...I like Fran and Berry too. Also the hippies. Lake and Michelle drive me nuts...on top of everything already said they are just awful people together. A few weeks ago, when they had to jump into the pool, she said that she didn't want all those Russian people looking...sorry lookin'...at her in her bathing suit!

I also loved Lake's comment about dentistry school preparing him for anatomy to put together the statue

My brother and I are going to audition at the next call

I love Amazing Race! I too think I live vicariously through everyone and think to myself, what would we do in that situation? It's always more fun to watch when there's a couple to really dislike and another you're rooting for. Last season (not the family season, the one before that) I just could not stand Rob & Amber and wanted them to lose so badly. This season there's no one couple I really hate, I guess maybe Lake/Michelle. The hippies are cracking me up though, I think they're so funny!

Another fan of Amazing Race. Agree with everything above, especially Lake/Michelle comments. Was just talking to DH about how we'd suck at driving the stick through some foreign countryside. We tend to get lost in our own backyard (although now we're also good at figuring our way out).

love, love, love Amazing race. It is one of two tv shows that I regularly watch. Maybe someday I can be on it.

I think we would be a good team. I mean, if our names rhyme, what better start is there than that?

The Amazing Race and glossy overseas travel brochures keep my wanderlust in check. Someday....

I was happy the hippies won as well.

I end up watching more movies over the summer, and maybe, just maybe I will get off my arse.

I was happy the hippies won. It was a good thing that the last task was brains.

And I loved the location -- most of my childhood was spent just a bit west of Red Rocks Park. It made me homesick for the mountains and real snow. Denver lucked out that they had snow for the last days of the race rather than post-snow mud and brownness.
