I think I was viewed as pretty nerdy sometimes...I was in the honors program, I enjoyed commiserating with my teachers about politics , and I wasn't a drinker or smoker (discovered beer in college). I was a defnite bookworm, but I had a close circle of friends who were similar. I did go to proms and I actually was on a committee a couple of times. I wasn't a cheerleader, but I was on "spirit squad"

High school was a huge PITA and that's about it. I'm friends with 2 people, I have no desire to see any of the others (of the 535 or so). I was a mediocre student which was partially because I was bored out of my mind and partially because I was lazy.

I attended my fair share of keg parties in the fields (now paved over rows of townhouses in the 'burbs) but once everyone had their driver's licenses, we were all about going to DC. Never looked back, either.

I went to one prom in 10th grade with a captain of the football team (a SENIOR)(and Black/Native American and about the most gorgeous man who ever walked the earth. Sadly he committed suicide after not getting into medical school. If only he'd known...) and I went to my senior Homecoming with one of the gay guys from my job at the mall. (and he was gorgeous, too! but dated another one of my boyfriends. so, that whole thing didn't really end well for anyone!)

I spent 90% of my junior and senior years of high school going to concerts and the punk bars of DC.

I didn't play an instrument, a sport, a game, belong to a team or do anything other then write for and then be editor for the school newspaper. and my teacher was also gorgeous which I think is why I did that for the three years of HS.

College- I just continued the same except moved the city to Baltimore instead of DC.
