  • Zoe Math

On Monday, April 17, 2006, Zoe Math miraculously made her way into this world via c-section. She had 8 & 9 on her Apgars, weighed 5.1 pounds, and took oxygen for only half a day before being weaned.

Kris is feeling well and was up and about the day of the surgery. (big surprise.... ). She will probably be in the hospital until Friday. Zoe will remain for 2-5 weeks. Even though she weighs enough for preemie standards for release (due to steriods and blood sugars) they want to ensure that she can regulate her breathing and temperature. Currently, Zoe is tube feeding because she doesn't have a good sucking reflex yet.

Kris feels like the weight of the world is off of her shoulders and is very joyful. I believe she will start radiation very soon. It is an honor to know such a resilient human being.

Zoe's middle name is Christine, but I'm not sure of the spelling. If I can get my household strep-free, I'm going to try to visit this week!
