This may sound weird, but I always need to see the dog in order to give it a name. I'm curious what you'll come up with!

My parents have a lab, and gave him a name (can't remember what it was), he never responded to the name and they realized it didn't fit him anyway. His name is now Maestro. That was weird.

We had Petey for a week before we decided on Petey as his name. His name from the pound was "Mike" and we KNEW that wasn't right. But, since we had Darla and Rascal, when my dad suggested Petey to continue the Little Rascals's theme, we knew we'd found the right name.

My aunt and uncle have a dog named Basil.

DD keeps asking for a dog for her birthday, and says its name will be "MaNeeMooooo", who knows where she got that from. You can use it, if you want.
