I think the point of myspace is just to have a place to snoop on people you know....and to get back in and keep in touch with people you used to know. Kind of like a really small, easy to use personal webpage...

The messages sometimes follow a progression, but only if you go back and forth between the peoples pages.

Stupid MySpace takes up hours of my time just looking at profiles and stuff, I don't know where the time goes. It's as bad as this site. Between the two it's a wonder I ever leave the computer.

I joined because my sister did. Most of my friends are actually friends of hers, though I have a few from here now. I tried to use it to snoop on ex's and old classmates but most of them aren't on it.

I like it most for the blogs. I post happy hour and other social doings there instead of sending out a mass e-mail and getting a ton of people responding. It's also a good place to post the kind of messages you would often forward (jokes, political conspiracies, etc...). I've reconnected with people from high school I could give a hoot about but also some women from college I've wondered about from time-to-time.
