  • My wedding ring is lost

UGH! Somewhere in this house, or in my dog, is my wedding ring. I always set my rings on top of my jewelry box (which USED to be out of everyone's reach). Earlier today I caught Quinn playing w/them, and I thought I made it perfectly clear that he was not allowed to touch them. Now that I'm wrapping up packing, I was putting stuff away & realized that only my engagement ring was there ... no wedding ring. I searched under the dresser, the bed, etc. and nothing. Quinn has no suggestions. DH is going to throw a HUGE fit.

My theory is that Quinn knocked it to the ground and Bruce ate it. I am not going through dog poop to find it.

I'd do a poop search. Of course that depends on how big the dog/poop is.

Are you sure it's not IN the jewelry box for some reason?

I hope you find it. Remember, Sue found her ring!

Have you checked the meatloaf recipe?

I'm sorry. That has got to be SO frustrating. You could try looking again tonight with all the lights off and use a flash light -- the metal or stones if it has them will be easier to see.

I hope Bruce didn't eat it. I guess if you did a poop search you could keep an eye on him to reduce the amount of poop to look through. Hey...your DH is a pathologist -- let him do it!

Nah - Sue found the rotting egg that was smelling up her house. She bought a new ring.

I was the one who found my ring. It had fallen off in the kitchen.

I thought Sue found the ring with the meatloaf recipe? Who was that?

I agree, collect the dog's deposits and let your DH go through them!

                I hope you find it!

You should ask St Anthony to find it! One of the parents at school dropped her engagement ring out front and we found it a week later!! Good luck!

                      Luanne -

I know Sue found her watch, her ATM card, and her wallet multiple times (she's been losing a lot of stuff this pregnancy), but she definitely did not find the ring -- the new one is v. pretty.

                      Amy -

I think St. Anthony would know I was just in it for the find and not a true believer. I tried burying the statue of St. Joseph at my house in Cleveland (about 11 months ago), and I can't say he helped move the sale along. In St. Joseph's defense, it is primarily an Orthodox Jewish neighborhood.

I'm going to tell DH he can search the poop or buy me a new ring. I'll be in AK, so I won't be able to "collect" to make sure he does it.

This is cracking me up. I only went to Catholic school for four years. Is there a saint for lost memory?

Oh no, Jenn. I hope it shows up soon. Maybe you can leave a picture of what you would like your new ring to look like (huge diamonds and all) for your dh and that will give him some incentive to look for your ring.
