  • What do you get waxed?

Just wondered if there are any others out there that get waxed of any sort. I, myself, have such a great waxer here and I'll be sad to leave her and find another great one when we move. It's so important, in my opinion, especially for eyebrows. I get my eyebrows professionally waxed, because otherwise I'd have a big unibrow and look like Burt (from Sesame Street)!!!! I've never tried a bikini wax, but I'm thinking about it.

Brows, always...never anything else, but I probably need somebody to take care of my upper lip pretty soon... :!

      Nothing - ever

I carefully pluck my eyebrows when needed (maybe every other week - and ten to twelve hairs tops) because I prefer the precision and detail that I can maintain with that method. I don't trust anyone other than myself to remove hair from my face.

I've contemplated growing out the hair on my legs and, ahem, other areas before in order to be waxed. And, I just can't ever follow through with it.

Instead, my plan is to just have laser hair removal done on my entire legs and along my "panty line" in a few years. I have a friend whose dad is a dermatologist and she's had it done recently. Nothing but good things to say about it (AND, because my skintone is so light and my hair so dark I'd apparently have a very easy time with this method).

eyebrows - for sure. a good brow arch makes all the difference, and i can't pluck. I sneeze.

Just the eyebrows. I've toyed with the idea of a bikini wax, but haven't been able to work up the courage to do that yet. Perhaps that would make sense now, since I can't actually see my bikini line.

Although I haven't waxed in months, I used to have my eyebrows and my entire nether regions waxed. It hurts, but in my opinion, it's worth it. My husband doesn't really care whether I'm au natural of nekkid, so for now I'm being lazy. :@

I have my brows done...when I was nine months pregnant, I started obsessing over the idea that my vigina would have an audience of several people. I got a Brazilian...

The outer areas stung, but no worse than a brow wax...then...wow... mind you, I am pulling my 10lb6oz belly up to my chin with one hand to give the woman room to work, and she is holding my knees up to my ears...

At one point I told her to just leave the wax.

Ahhh, vanity...and!!! I didn't go into labor for another four weeks...all grooming lost.

Next time...I plan on impressing them with what I was able to accomplish in nine months

That is too funny Caitelin. I'm not exactly sure what a Brazilian is but it sounds exotic. These days my OB is the only person I shave for.

Oh Caitlein, that is too funny!

I don't think the bikini waxes are all that bad. I'd rather do that than go to the dentist.

I get my brows waxed. The best thing I have done is "threading" but it is hard to find people who use that method. It is less painful than waxing. If I am trying a new person, I ask them to do a light clean up wax and if they do ok with that, I'll let them do more next time.

I've also done laser removal for upper lip and bikini. Highly recommended.

I have had my brows waxed two or three times, I think. I like the way it looks when I do it, but no one else ever seems to notice.

All that effort, pain & money and no one even notices.

dear God! where is the emoticon that says "holy mother of God that hurts!"

I've had a bikini wax, and it was not at all pleasant, but not too awful. Much like an annual check up (sorry Matt, Peter, David and any other guys roaming around).

                            But a brazilian???? No way.

My sentiments exactly! And although I *think* DH would notice, (unlike when I get my brows waxed) he would be the only one......I need a higher rate of return in order to put myself through something like that!
