Anyone use it? Experiences good/bad? A friend of mine just switched and says she will only pay $24.95/month for unlimited long distance. I have this "if it sounds too good to be true" feeling about it.

    Use it and love it!

Just occasionally I have glitches in service where I can hear what is going on on the other end of the phone, but people can't hear me. Annoying, BUT My phone bills are 1/3 to 1/2 of what they were before. Plus, you can call Germany (in parts) for 3 or 4 cents a minute.

I will send you an e-mail.

Good here, too. Only caveat is that when your internet goes out, so does your phone. Make sure you have a cell phone back up. Also, only some areas have the 911 option working. You can call 911, but not all areas have a record of where you are calling from if you call within VoIP. You have to tell them. (Some do have an automatic system set up and eventually all will.) We have the 14.95 a month option. Waaaay cheaper.

Well, I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but I did switch us to digital phone a few months ago. We get a great deal for phone, internet, and cable through our cable modem and we get unlimited long distance. So far, I have been happy with it. The only downside is that I had to switch alarm companies because ADT goes through the phone line. I wasn't thrilled with ADT anyway, though, so I didn't mind switching companies.
