I don't think there is a catch. I know several people who get their subscriptions off eBay. They seem to have very positive reviews too! I don't have any subscriptions at the moment unless you count all the medical journals that come for Chad, but I was thinking of ordering a few.

      No catch!
I forgot to add that I also get Conde Nast Traveler - just ordered it from ebay for $5 and I got my first issue a couple weeks ago! I love eBay!

No catch...mostly. I got a great deal on Fine Cooking off on ebay.

The crappy thing is that I paid for it twice. I bought the first time from a seller who scammed me. It's a great trick with the magazines. Because the magazines arrive 8-12 weeks after you order, it is too late to make a complaint with Ebay. And because they make it *so* easy to get customer feedback, it is hard to complain about. The seller had long since left by the time I caught on. I think that by the time it dawned on me that I never got magazines I ordered, it was over 12 weeks.

BUT -- the good news is that it worked the second time, no problem and it is a great deal! I was able to get another magazine bundled with it for a great deal as well.

I buy trashy gossip mags (US Weekly & OK) whenever I go to the beach. Other than that, I just started getting Runner's World. I don't read magazines much. Would love to get the New Yorker.

We get a lot, I think.....my kids sold magazines as a fundraiser for school, so we got a bunch.

            Budget Travel
            Reader's Digest
            National Geographic Kids
            Ranger Rick
            Sports Illustrated Kids
            Highlights
ACOG Green Journal (I don't know if that is the real name of it!)
            Contemporary OB/Gyn
            Christian Doctors' Digest
Federal Practitioner (even though he isn't anymore)
            our alumni magazines

and I often buy People and/or Us.

I have to say, though, that they all (except "Federal Practitioner") get read, so I don't feel TOO guilty.

I just bought a few subscriptions through eBay. Now if I could only find the time to read all of them.
