Is your dad a jeweler? You'll want to be careful about just stretching them if there are diamonds set in it. It can make them loose ... especially depending on how they're set.

If you had them soldered together you loose 1/2 to a full size. That could be why they're too tight.

Seriously? Well no wonder, after 8 years, I got mine done and I can barely get the rings on and off. I wish I had known that.

Yeah - I had no idea. And I really should have. I worked for a jewelery company -- in the stores for awhile AND in the vault for the REPAIR shop for a total of 3 years!! Then I merrily went and had my rings soldered together before the wedding, and suffered in agony for 6 months thinking my fingers had instantaneously gotten fatter!

You can have them sized as a whole unit -- although I'd wait until after the baby comes.

Yes, I am wondering just how my fingers got so much fatter. The rings are a quarter size smaller than one on my right hand but I could always get them on and off (except end of pg). Not so easy now. The engagement band is a tension setting and difficult to size. I'm not sure I could have them changed.
