That is really funny, Jenn. I think it would take a lot for me to crack open a tub of "Udder Cream" for my chutney. But from what I can tell, your mil makes a mean chutney, so I think I could get over it!

My grandmother used to serve my brother and me stuff on those styrofoam meat trays. Chips, fruit (as if they were small dessert plates). My mom thought it was disgusting and tried to make her stop. Although come to think of it, it sort of made sense--you could just throw away the trays with your orange peels or whatnot. One day...Jane...er... Jenn...it'll all make sense!

Kris, your kids will grow up to appreciate the stuff you make. I'm sure of it. The smells from the kitchen will just be too overwhelming. I love the Deutchland sticker story. That must have been aggravating for Thomas! Did you see they even have those Tueten for entering 1st grade on the site?

Come to think of it, I do do gefuellte Paprika. Stuffed peppers. My host mom used to make this. And when she and my papa came to visit me and my parents in Seattle, I demanded that she make them. This requires Speck (bacon). And lots of it.

Do you use the Maggi Gemuesebruehe (in those cubes?). If so, how are they?
