  • Forum question

So we are continuing to set up forums right now without unlocking them. Here's the questions...

We put the attending spouses into the 'nursing home'.

Trying to stay true to the themes of the forums, we also want creative names for the resident and med student spaces...

What wing of this hospital would med spouse/resident spouses fit into.

I suggested proctology for resident spouses because of the fact that residency is such a pain in the butt...but seeing how things are going now, I think that might be perceived wrong :>

Any thoughts/suggestions about forum names/dept names?

I dislike the actual word proctology, but I certainly feel like I'm taking it up the a** a lot of the time so maybe it fits.

Colonoscopy suite is great! It's got to be something extremely uncomfortable!

I like endoscopy suite/colonoscopy suite. The only other thing I can think of is Intensive Care Unit.

Intensive Care Unit is good too. I was trying to think of something Anesthesia related because residency is something I'd rather sleep through than feel...

Pediatrics is a great name for the med students' forum.

I think we have pediatrics for....parenting, don't we? If not, we should...

parenting sounds so condescending and I don't want med student spouses to feel like their issues and concerns are unimportant or are less important because they aren't.....but maybe I'm off base here.

I like the idea of a chapel as a confessional. This is a wacky idea--but I've always thought it would be great to have a forum where people could log in as a guest and post a story or question. Then, we'd have complete anonymity in one area. The chapel reminded me of that.....but I suppose you meant for religious discussions?

More like a place where people could have a little prayer with the advice given. They could post prayer request and updates to those prayer request. I enjoy advice but every once in awhile I need some supernatural intervention. Religious discussion would be cool too.

I think the chapel idea is fine. Do you think that his might turn into a debate forum?... just curious
