  • goodbye steve

Steve Irwin's memorial service was held today. Thousands of people attended Australia Zoo to see it, the Prime Minister included, I believe! (I think Steve would be much better known than him to most Americans... )

I just watched Bindi Irwin's tribute to her father (click on the video link on the left side of this page http://au.news.yahoo.com/060920/23/10ls5.html#) and couldn't stop the tears. The tribute from his father was very moving too.

It's strange how sad you can feel about the passing of someone you never actually knew personally, although I had visited his father's reptile park and Australia Zoo several times. Hopefully something good can come of Steve's death.

I came across it last night. I too had tears when Bindi Sue read her statement about her father. It was quite moving.
