    That has been our arrangement for years. Works for me! (Well, it doesn't work for me when we have different timelines and ideas of cleaning the kitchen....but it works for post-dinner clean up assuming it is done that night).

    Nellie, he groans everytime he comes home and sees the dutch oven out. It weighs a TON.
    We HAD the same arrangement, but it seems to have wandered off over the past year or so. As though now that he's making more $, I'm getting paid better for the household crap?? He still will voluntarily do the dishes often enough that I can't get away w/complaining about never helping ... but truly seems to be able to sense when I'm about to rip into him and then jumps up to do the job.
