again. i know, i know. get over it already. to my defense it has only been 3 days. my kids have started to ask me where riley is. i told them that he has a new mommy and daddy. that worked for a bit. yesterday on the way to the park we went by our vet clinic. dd then starts singing to the tune of wonderpets.."baby riley, stuck at doggie doctor"...dd#2 goes with "baby rye rye stuck....." then ds asked about the new mommy and daddy excuse.

now this am baby dd keeps walking around saying her line. everytime they bring it up it makes me feel bad. maybe i wouldnt be human if it didnt make me sad???

Yes, just being human. It's hard when your kids are at that stage where they repeat the same thing all day.

It takes A LOT to give up your family pet to a good home. You have every right and feeling to be sad but know that he is happy. There are a lot of pet owners out there that would ahve just taken him to the pound, you did the right thing - even though its very hard.

nellie, that's it! i will put it out of my mind for a bit, and then the singing starts.

thank you cheri. i know he is happy and he is in a better home. at least they can spend the time with him he deserves.

(i wonder if they will re-name him?? )
