It is amazing to see the difference between a young pet and a more mature pet. I know you just went through that with your puppy. We had one set of animals before kids and in the baby years. 3 cats and a dog. All of them lived between 14-18 years. For 4 years we had a lot of pet sadness as they had one ailment after another. Now, we have a house full of young'ens: 2 cats (1.5 years old) and a dog that just turned one as well. It's a little crazy. They move sooooooo much. Our other pets were - well, like you said, carpet. These guys take it out of you. But.....no crickets!

I suppose your cats could just have matured to be more accepting of other life forms. :> They aren't necessarily lazy.

I hate crickets SO MUCH that just the title of this thread gave me the creeps and I could not read the replys. Now I keep thinking that the little stain on our carpet is a cricket! Good luck getting rid of it!
