  • Falling Asleep

I cannot fall asleep here (SO's apt) unless he is in bed asleep with me. I don't know what it is, but every noise, etc. just drives me nuts. I've been laying in his bed for the last half hour and I just can't get to sleep because he is all over the place studying in 2 rooms and walking up and down the hall doing laundry.

Ugh. I don't even know why he invited me over here (or why I agreed to come over.) I'm in a pissy mood and I hate Anatomy. He hasn't spoken to me or looked at me without a flashcard in front of his face all week.

How do you get to sleep when you are in a really foul mood? I just can't do it and I need to get up early and go to work tomorrow...

Edited because I'm hormonal and overreactive.

What about only staying there when he is willing to not do laundry or flashcards?

yeap, agree with readin and taking your mind away from the situation. I just finished readin My sister's keeper, There is a book you get totally engrossed with! I missed 3 stops on my train while reading it last week going to work.

Well, I fell asleep eventually but not after I was called "selfish" and "unsupportive." I still can't believe he said that since I wouldn't even be in this state if either of those were true. I was just tired and cranky and annoyed at him.

Guess I learned my lesson for next time - stay in my own bed. Adjustment periods stink. I hope this blows over by the weekend and I can stop feeling so anxious about everything.

In such situations, DH would read me from whatever book he's studying at the moment. I would usually be out in about 10 minutes. I like this method, because he still gets to study while being in the same room with me and his books are so boring, I have no problems falling asleep, so that he can go back to studying.
