I know a lot of you belong to multiple boards and communities online and I'm just curious what they are. The only other community-like thing I have is flickr.com and that only kinda-sorta counts.

Just curious what other families you have out there.

I post on a board that is pretty much all hate and loathing (but hate and loathing based on mutual respect) and my friends and I have a board that we use to keep in touch (but it doesn't get much action) and I lurk on a Chicago foodie forum.

only if you count my recent obsession w/mothering.com . I've tried to find other places (for when you guys are all having lives) but haven't found any other groups that I fit with.

I occassionally lurk on ConstantChatter.com (place where transplants from WeddingChannel ended up) and SDN. But this is place is my home away from home (hope this doesn't sound too pathetic).

I am an editor for FRUA (http://www.frua.org)- the paper version of the newsletter they send so I check in there often. I only post if there's something that I think I can help with- like people who are adopting from the same region as Nikolai.

There also a members only yahoo group for people who have adopted from that region in Russia that I occasionally post to. (He's from Kungur, in the Perm Region, FYI)

I have posted housing info to SDN and occasionally to the bitter nasty military medical section of SDN. Haven't done that in months though.

I used to belong to a group of DC Moms- a very cool group of women.

Other than that- iMSN has been it for almost seven years now!

This is the only board I come to (when I can). i wish i visited more often but ever since taking this new job I feel like my other hobbies have been taken away. I just got back and saw that there were close to 250 new topics/posts since my last visit

http://www.magicmum.com and sometimes http://www.eumom.com which is were i first posted my first ever messages on line when pregnant with ds, there is a group of about 12 of us who meet up every so often and my birth group posts on there too and we have a birthday party for all the March 04 babies each year which is cool because there are about 20 boys and girls.

This is it for me. I occasionally visit the weddingchannel.com and theknot.com forums but I mostly look at the bios for inspiration. The style of their boards drives me nuts and there doesn't seem to be a sense of community.
