(background info- he has been gone for three weeks now to an Army base 3 hours away...)
Tuesday night- 10:00 pm- time for our normal nightly conversation- He asked me what I was doing, I said I'm doing a crossword puzzle..etc. etc. when suddenly-
There was a knock on the door.
I was quite concerned- who knocks on the door at 10 at night? I said "OK, you have to stay on the phone- there's a knock on the door"
I got out of bed and tried to see out the window- no deal, as I had the light off- I say through the door "Hello?" No answer-
again, "hello?" I hear "hello" back-
I open the door and there he was, on the front porch, phone in hand. I hadn't even heard him pull up in to the driveway!
Disgusting, isn't it?
