Ok, so I am going to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on Friday night and I have NO clue what to wear. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

PS I know this is not quite the crisis that the subject makes it out to be but still fashion is always something requiring multiple opinions haha

Nice black pants and a pretty sweater would be appropriate as well. the thing with wthe symphony is that you'll see people dolled up to the nines and people in jeans. If it's the first night a of new season or new session it's a fancier event than regular seasonal shows.

Also (at least in NY), the people with better seats (orchestra, boxes, etc.) are usually more dressed up than those sitting all the way on top. The more expensive the seats, the fancier the outfit. So if you're not in the first few rows, no need to get all dolled up. A step above office attire should do the trick.
