I have paintings of the grounds hung on my walls and, of course, a keychain.
As I did meet my SO at Virginia, we share the rivalry. We had a conversation in the car yesterday along these lines:
SO: I hate Tech-ies.
ME: Me too.
SO: What if our kids want to go to Tech?
ME: No.
SO: What?
ME: I said no. Not an option. Besides, we're both smart. We couldn't possibly produce a being only capable of the Tech degree.
SO: Good point. Whew. I was going to say 'No' too.

Yeah, but a true fan won't forsake even in times of, O.K. history of, abysmal seasons. There will always be that one season where everything else is horrible, but as long as we beat ASU...sadly this year was not it, but I sustain by remembering robbing ASU of the championship bowl game, another year coming back in the last few minutes of the game (We were walking back to our car when we heard the stadium m erupting).
You are right, we can always count on basketball. I was a freshman in college the year we won the championships…it was awesomeGwen
