I haven't seen it. I've been getting so many catalogues that most go in the recycling. I think that Crate and Barrel is associated with The Land of Nod? I love that one.

btw, Alison, I'm holding you personally responsible for my new Trader Joe's Chocolate Covered Ginger addiction. Talk about a potential black hole. :w

I think Land of Nod is with Pottery Barn, but I'm not sure. It's kids' stuff, right?

Chocolate covered ginger... It's BAD, isn't it, Nellie?! I have this fixation on biting off the chocolate, sucking on the cube of ginger, and then biting through the ginger. All without taking it out of my mouth.

PB Kids is Pottery Barn, Land of Nod is Crate & Barrel. I like both, but won't pay the prices of either. I did land a great bookcase from their "as-is" section (PB Kids) last year - it's in my living room.

The PB Kids and The Land of Nod websites both have sale sections. Sometimes you can get a good deal that way. I found DD's comforter cover on sale at the Land of Nod website.

            In our current financial state:

Any bookstore (and Amazon - and wow, if you are an Amazon Prime member, it just makes it that much easier to seal the purchase with free 2-day shipping).

            Target
            Nordstrom (!!)
            Sephora (!!)

            In a future financial state:
ANTHROPOLOGIE. I could really buy only their home furnishings and clothing and accessories

I'm a sucker for gourmet food stores/organic food/farmers markets. Can spend more on a meal than I normally would on a whole weeks groceries.

My yes! I don't hold back in TJ's too much either. DH is obsessed with books. Any bookstore with a language section and he just hangs the expense. When he gets on a language kick usps just keeps delivering box after box.

I've been following this thread since the beginning and I'm having a hard time coming up with an answer. Maybe I'm in denial but I can't think of a black hole for my money. I rarely go shopping in a physical store because I'm so indecisive and I need time to think about a purchase. The times when I buy things online, I go back and forth for days, make a spreadsheet, ask for my fiance's opinion, change my mind at least 3 times. :! Yikes! Am I really the only one who does this?

Indecisive?! When it comes to clothes I can waste hours mulling over whether I really need something or can get away with wearing the same outfit I wore last time I went out for an evening when I really have nothing to wear!!! And going from store to store to compare $10 shirts or whatever...
I just have a really hard time spending money on myself. I cant imagine being any different either when we actually have money to spend.
When really, even if I bought myself a whole new outfit every week (which I could never see myself doing), the amount spent would be so insignificant compared to how much med school tuition works out at per week!

Totally agree about Central Market....I could spend hours in there. It's amazing. There are actually a couple of them in Washington state...one was only ten minutes from my house -- but that wasn't really a good thing for my checkbook.

Bookstores and stationery stores are my other weaknesses.

Yes, it's on Aurora in Shoreline. I think the other store is in Poulsbo.
