  • Cute things your pets do

I love our two cats--they do the cutest things. One cute thing that they do is that they jump from the floor to our shoulders--they get this determined look on their face and then they jump. Another cute thing is that when I give them their treat (wet food in a pouch) as soon as I open the cabinet door and take out a small plate, they know (but they don't come running unless they hear both the cabinet door and the plate--one or the other they know could be something else). They're so smart!

What cute things do your pets do?

Petey, my brilliant dog understand sentences. Once when he was completely annoying me I told him to go upstairs to the office and get his toy.

and he did. and came back downstairs and played.

My two furry kids have taken to digging out of the yard and running around the neighborhood. After I catch them, they have the biggest grins on their faces for days. I swear they are saying "did you see me mom? did you see me running down the street and frolicking in the leaves?"

Dora, my ECS doggie, knows when we say "go to bed" or "do you want to go out?" and a couple of other things. We often times have to spell out D-O-G so she doesn't get all excited that we're talking about her.

Ruby, my adopted cat, will actually carry on a "conversation" with anyone who responds to her meows. Her favorite place in the world is on one of the bar stools in the kitchen. The only thing is she's so big that she hangs over the chair with her butt, head, and paws. She'll then grab the pillow if you try to get her off the stool.

We have to do that too! Paris, at 45 lbs., will jump on your lap if you sound too excited - her whole humongous body! It's hilarious!

our dog, bailey...smiles. he looks like he is being vicious and growling at you....but he is just happy and excited to see you.

he understands conversations...seriously, he knows what we're talking about. he can also spell. okay, he cannot spell...but he knows what we are spelling when we're trying to be tricky.

              My dog knows what we are saying when we say " W A L K" and " T R E A T!!!"

              I adore him. He's such a love.

He also moans when you rub his ears just right.

If he really likes you he goes between your legs as you scratch his head or back.

Too bad he doesn't understand when you say "Petey vomit up that disgusting feminine product so we don't have to spend money for scoping!"

Flynn, what a face! Labs are so lovable. My brother and I no longer live at home, just the dog, also a black lab. He'll go through your legs and expect a big rub down. He understands, "No more, go!" when my parents have given him his food. He leaves the room and looks back to see if there definitely is "no more..." It's adorable.

He's been my faithful friend through training. It was so nice to come home to his furry self instead of an empty house!!!

He'll be 8 in April and he's in great shape!

                          Ah, Cristina...

Petey ate three "Heavy" flow tampons. At once. From the trash can.

We had to take him to the vet and then we had to take him to the emergency vet and they attempted a scope and it didn't work and at 3am he threw them up.

and we decided from then on that $250 bucks for roto-rooter is a more cost-effective emergency expense.

Jenn, unfortunately I was eating when I read your response. I had my dog rifle through the trash can and pull the nastiest things into the middle of the hallway. I've since decided that the guest bathroom can do with a regular trash can and I've appropriated the one with a lid to keep her from getting into trouble.

Do we have the same dog? My Molly is a digger and just LOVES being on the other side of her fence, she never goes very far - its just the joy of being out that she loves.

Other cute things - she's getting her picture taken with Santa Claus tonight, we'll see how that goes and I"ll post a picture tomorrow. Last year's didn't turn out too well.

She too can spell, we spell food, feed, walk around her all the time b/c she knows the words.

It took us 13 attempts to get our family holiday picture taken on Sunday because of her. She's my lovable, furry friend and I don't know what I would do without her.
