another visit home

i spent the weekend at "home" - celebrating my sister's birthday and having a wonderful time with my family. it was hard to leave my husband but it was a great, great, great weekend. the airlines are definitely running a tighter ship! i felt safe - i was a bit scared before each flight but when you are in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the airport and you are on the flight - it is really the last thing that crosses your mind...although you could feel the tension in the airports. i would sort of choose not to fly if i had my way but that would mean i couldn't see my family for who knows how long since it is too far to drive - and i just can't have that! i am too much of a homebody!

Claudia, that is so nice that you were able to get home for a visit! Can I ask what you noticed was different on the flights in terms of security? Did you feel really safe? Thomas is flying to CA in a few weeks and I'm pretty nervous about it...
