  • My Dyson is so cool!!

I just found out (thanks Russ) that I could take off the handle wand on my Dyson and attach the heads to the hose....without having to man-handle the handle wand. I knew I could use the handle wand thing, but now... This makes some vacuuming SOOOO much easier and totally funner!

I feel like a doof that I didn't know this on my own, but at least I know now!

This is why in my DH's family new gizmos can't be used until the instruction manual is read!

Michele - I'm not following what you're saying you can do -- and I might not already know it. Can someone try explaining it to me in a way I can understand (you may need to use the monkey).

You can connect the attachments directly to the hose.

Oh the dryer sheet is tied to the handle b/c our Dyson was shocking us...turns out it was a problem and they sent us a replacement handle....when I got the new handle I didn't clean it right the first time (like they told me to) and it shocked me again, so I attached the dryer sheet....then I cleaned it right and now it's fine, but I'm too chicken to remove the dryer sheet! I really don't normally have this much trouble with directions. I wad just so excited to use my Dyson.....I even read the directions on my Christmas lights.

aha! thank you! I knew you could take it all the way out, b/c I usually take it all the way out, turn it around and reattach it so that I hold onto the handle and the attachment is connected to the end of the metal hose. I'll have to try it your way.

Did you know you can just pull out the wand/extend it out and connect the heads? Then you don't have to disconnect and reconnect...the yellow (on mine) button that you push to get it off the main unit also lets the rod extend out the handle....mine's a little tight so you have to pull a little hard to get it all the way extended...my friend's is older and looser so it pulls out easier.

ok I reread that and it sounds a bit 'gutter-ier' than I intended!
