Weekend plans?

How is everyone's weekend looking? Hope it is a good one.



It will be a VERY busy one here. We are still hoping that Russ has the weekend off but he hasn't heard yet. The doctor he is rotating with is on call but he might be nice to give Russ a break being that he has worked a ton of hours this week. I hope so because on Monday we are getting new carpet put in and this weekend will be spent moving all the furniture (including a pain in the neck waterbed!) and, of course, Russ decided that we should paint the walls before the new carpet comes. I have been cleaning out the closets today to get ready to paint tonight.



Even though it is going to be a pain, I am SO excited to get new carpet and give my house a fresher look! It has been driving me crazy lately. I am hoping it will be one of those "family working together" memories for the kids and not the "you ruined my weekend" memory!

We're off for a weekend of "Forced Fun". Actually it is fun- the staff take over the hospital and the interns, residents and spouses (kids, too) are sent to the beach for the weekend. They'll do a team building activity and I think they're having one for the spouses this year. Then we all go out for dinner



The resort is supposed to be much better than where we stayed last year. All I know is that it'll be nice to have even this little break!

We just finished our "friday family fun night"...this week, we painted halloween t-shirts. I bought halloween "stampers" and fabric paint from Wal-Mart and long-sleeved shirts for the kids...it was fun...but...It'll be awhile before we do anything like this again (remind me of this if I say I want to do Christmas shirts ) With all of them at different ages and ability levels and my husband struggling to figure out the stampers we sure made a mess of things...but it was fun...



New carpet is great...it'll give your home a brand new feel...just be sure to have a big pizza party or something after the big furniture moving fun! I look forward to hearing how you like the new carpeting...



Jenn...it sounds kind of fun....is this through your job or the residency?



We'll just be hanging out this weekend, but the weather is supposed to be great so we are going to try and go hiking!
