  • I'm on a TJs high....

Today, after 2 1/2 years, I FINALLY got my Trader Joe's fix! One just opened about 45 minutes from home.

    Mmmmmm.........cinnamon sugar pita chips.

Oh - thank you. Several folks here have been kind enough to offer. The problem is that once I started making a list I realized that *most* of the stuff I love is kind of heavy. Sauces, jams, mixes ... not to mention the frozen stuff.

The good news is it's now 99% sure I'm going to Chicago for Christmas. I guarantee I'll be stocking up big time.

I went for the first time this past weekend!! I got a case of two-buck chuck (actually $3.29 on the east coast), a gingerbread house kit, some nut mixes, avacadoes, bruschetta, mint cocoa, and some lotion. Yay! It was really fun!

There is one opening 2 hours from my house. I drove by there the other weekend. It does not look like they will make the projected opening date but I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tara, I looked for the Peppermint Jo-Jos this weekend and couldn't find them. Horrors! I'll have to go back.

Aha, that must be it. I went on a Sunday afternoon and they were super busy and out of a few other things I needed.

I try to go early in the morning, right after dropping DH off for a weekend shift. :> This way I can also check out LT and BR across the street.

I can finally join this TJ conversation. I lost my TJ virginity about two weeks ago. The Towson TJ is really small but it had some nice things. I loved the truffles! Twenty-four pieces for $2.99? Bring it on! They also had this amazing key lime cheesecake.

No Peppermint Jo-Jos....didn't even see them. There were mobs of people (at 2pm on a Tuesday!) so I just made a beeline to the old standbys. Must. Go. Back.

Breakfast this morning was sesame honey cashews and cinnamon sugar pita chips. This is bad news for my waistline.

I also hit TJ's for the first time right before T-giving. It was smaller than I expected, but I got some great stuff. I have been meaning to post this and rave about those Candy Cane Joe Joes. My kids only liked the frosting and I ended up eating almost the entire box myself. Good thing I only bought one.

Other things we enjoyed..... Sun-dried tomato basil torta, pesto tortellini, sesame honey cashews and blueberry muesli. Yum!
