I can't remember where the post was that someone was getting the photobooks. Was it Nellie? How did they turn out? I started putting one together.

It was me. The books were delivered yesterday and I'm very happy with how they turned out. The photo quality is very good, the books are nicely bound with a linen cover.

My only complaints, and I think these are my fault. A few (just a few) of the photos did not blow up as clear as I expected. They just aren't quite as crisp as the others. Also, I thought I fixed the red-eye and there is a photo that still shows some. But I think those are related to they photos I took and selected and not the books.

I think they will make great gifts. The pages aren't numbered but I did around 30 pages which turned out to be a good amount, IMO. I didn't do the captions because I didn't like how they looked. That's something I'll look at for next time -- a way to get captions in there with a look I like.

The kids LOVE looking at them.

Are you talking about the photo books you can get from Kodak Gallery--or are there other sites that also offer these? Kodak Gallery has lots of other cool things as well--I was thinking about getting one of those accordion holiday cards made.

Yes, it is similar to this:

Shutterfly has them too and additional photobooks are discounted. I'm not sure how the prices compare. We got ours from MyPublisher.com because of the 50% offer through the Costco website. Each of our books cost about $20 with the discount.

I had one made as a gift for my friend in Alaska who hosted us in the spring. She loved it. Obviously I haven't seen in - but she raved about the quality. I got hers from Kodak Gallery.

There's a story behind that. When I started the book, the Costco link said 50% through Monday, November 27 (or whatever day Monday was). When I went to check out, it was only 20 or 30% off -- still on Monday.

After phone calls to Costco and emails to mypublisher, it was fixed. Sort of. The email invoice was corrected but the credit card charge is not correct. They have been very nice about it though so I'm sure that a follow-up email will fix things. *fingers crossed*
