            Jenn does this mean he will have less clinical time and more desk time? Is this an issue with him at all? Is he ready to ramp up the admin stuff? Just curious. We are 2 years from the majors. Lol.

                    No more admin time expected- the majority of the admin positions are staffed by the AF guys. He just wants to see patients. No research, no administrative duties, just working w/ the residents and seeing the kids. I would imagine that if he stays in much longer the admin duties may increase but he will do everything in his power to NOT have to deal with it. If his opportunity for patient care is ever [more than a little] limited by admin duties, he'll get out.

                    He took himself out to celebrate.

                      That's great jenn-- I know he was expecting the promotionbut from what I understand promoting to Lt. colonel is definitely not an automatic promotion.

                      That's awesome!! The pay raise won't hurt either.
