  • Matt - Gators & Hurricanes + deployment?

    Hey Matt -

Just watching the news this morning & seeing the info about the excess of gators lately, and the possible impending hurricane. Just wondering if you're having to deal w/this stuff ON TOP OF G.'s deployment.

How are the boys doing with it? And, most importantly ... did the MIL come for the summer??

I was wondering about this too! How are you?

Short answer, pressed for time and privacy....

      MIL- check
      Hurricanes- not yet
Gators- not here, we have the bears to chase them away.

This evening could be interesting....MIL has been here for one month, and we are about to have a meeting of the minds. I will call if I am in jail.

      just kidding....mostly

                Matt,

I have some lingering angst from my MIL's recent visit. I'll come down and be the heavy for you and then you can return the favor for me.
This way they get the picture, but we don't completely screw up family dynamics for years to come....

Seriously, best of luck, Matt. I loathe these hard conversations, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

                  How did it go?

                  Need the bus? Bail money?

Matt- I can get a hold of your JAG office and maybe Kelly has an insiders scoop if you need us!

                      I am not in jail....

my FIL is here now, as well.

DW is now on an advance team, she is on the ground in Bangladesh for 5-10 days...they aren't sure how long. She is helping to decide who gets surgery/priority and who doesn't. It has to be hard.

Anyone's significant med spouse want a picture of a parasitic twin? DW diagnosed it and of course got pictures. It is totally freaky...and a bit nasty.

FIL is there now, too? Geez! What did you do in a past life to deserve this??

I asked dh if he wanted the photo, he said no but was curious about where it was located. G. is in my thoughts ... I hope she stays safe!

Sorry to keep you all in suspense!

DW is now at home! She got home on Friday at 9:30a. It is great to have her home and the boys are so happy.

I didn't tell the boys until we were parking at the airport, why we were there. She was greeted by about twenty office coworkers and she was just so happy to be on the ground and home.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers while she was gone, they were greatly appreciated!
