Have any of you ever used the MWR facilities at your respective bases? We went up to the Fort Sam facilities at Canyon Lake today. For five bucks it was well worth it. The lake was clean, the facilities were very nice and there were small cabanas available to rent for twenty bucks. I think we'll definitely be heading back.

Matt, did you guys ever take atvantage of the Disney World place?

are those the "resort" type things for military families? we stayed in one in Seward, Alaska (friend I visited is married to an Air Force navigator). It was quite nice - v. basic, but nice & clean. Great to have a more affordable option in Alaska.

We always intended to take advantage of this, but never did. Our time off was eaten up by visits to our families.

However, Renaissance hotels have a SWEET military discount. Be sure to check it out. We got awesome rooms in the Renaissance in OK City for $45.
