the miltary costs us billions of dollars every year. If they actually did things efficiently? Costs would drop drastically. But efficiently normally means laying off hundreds of civilians (who vote) so...

It has taken my husband going on three weeks to successfully inprocess at two hospitals. and the AF wants PALS and the ARMY wants ACLS and neither have the credentials but even if they did they only review credentials for incoming staff ONCE a month...

Add to it that Walter Reed neglected to remove all of the outgoing personnel from their computer system so literally everyone inprocessing from WRAMC can't get access to any of the computer systems here until WR does their part. and since it's a 100% computerized medical records system, that might make things interesting if no techs, nurses, interns, residents or staff from WR can use the computers in San Antonio.

On the upside- I was able to make an appointment using the new Tricare automated system which is infinitely nicer than dealing with some of the Tricare appointments people. Scorpians would be nicer than some.

If only they would let the military run the military.

actually the most annoying part is that when my husband attempted to figure out which civilian was in charge of the computers, suddenly no one had the 'right number'.

It's BAD. The payroll people are the WORST. but I won't even go there- just ask Matt for that roller coaster. (in a nutshell, if they screw up, you pay)
