So, yeah we have crappy pay in po-dunk locations and well, there's that whole war/death thing, BUT
I have to sing the praises of http://www.militaryonesource.com. It is a site for anything and everything that a military family might need. They referred me to Consolidated Legal Services which offers a 25% discount to military families. I then spoke to a Real Estate attorney based in Minnesota for a few half hour review of the case. He agreed that we should proceed and processed the OK- CLS called me back within a half hour and we had the referral via email in a few more minutes. I called the lawyer, we had our free half hour consultation and bam, here we are. I've googled the lawyer and I'm seriously impressed. He and his partner are also former Army which helps because 1) they give a discount and 2) they understand the limitations of this life. (like if we should ever get to court, it might be difficult to have us up there in any kind of short notice)
Another resource that I used was National Military Families Association. (http://www.nmfa.org) They were the ones who referred me to militaryonesource. They're also a huge resource for families of military personnel.
