Don't know if you all are aware that there is a new retirement plan available to military personnel. It functions like a 401 (k) with income withheld from the pay- lowering your tax bracket. It's got different investments and just like a 401 (k) you can choose the options and percentages. Even though Rick will be elligible for a pension and I have my IRAs and 401 (k) we decided to contribute to this one as well. It's a relatively painless way to get some extra bucks in towards retirement. (you can borrow against it too, if need be)
